Junior championship -fifth round 25 August 2007

Jacob Romeril only unbeaten player - three tie for second place
Ten of the junior players took part in the fifth round of the Junior Petanque Championship held for the first time at Clos Nicolle, the home of the Carrefour Petanque Club.

The four eldest players were grouped together and played with and against each of those in their group. The six younger players formed triples teams and each played three games.

Jacob Romeril was the only player to win all 3 of his games finishing with a plus 9. Three players tied for runner up; Jessica Galley, Gabriella Martin and Dominic Perez who each had two wins.

Of the 19 players who have competed in the season, 8 of these have already accumulated enough scores to feature in the final positions. A further 4 will qualify for the results if they compete in the final round.

Both over and under 11 year groups are very tightly contested and winner of both groups will be dependant of the results of the final round.

This is to be played at the Carrefour Club’s premises at Clos Nicolle, Mont Couchon on 22nd September where trophies will be presented to the winner and runner up in each of the two age groups.
