Junior championship. Round three - 9 June 2007

Keely Guegan takes top position!

The third round of the Junior Petanque Championship held at Les Quennevais once again attracted 12 young players, including two new players; Nicole Power (11) and William McKerrell(10).

Top player overall was Keely Guegan, who won all her 3 games with a finishing net score of +16 and young Jessica Gallay (7) also won her 3 with a +7 points.

The competitors were divided into three sets of four according to age and experience, and played one game partnered with each of the players in their group.

Keely topped her group with Laura Therin (15) runner up on two wins 0,

Wesley Bowen was best in the next group with 2 wins and +16, with William McKerrell next with 2 wins +4.

In the final group of the youngest players, Jessica was top and Jade Perez next with 1 win -1.

The next round of the Junior Championship will be on June 30th at the home of the St Mary’s Petanque Club at the St Mary’s community centre – please note this is a change from the original venue.
