2008 Junior Championship - round 4
Thirteen players took part in the fourth round of the 2008 Junior championship took place at the home of the Jersey Petanque Club at Les Quennevais. Charlie Rio (9) joined the competition for the first time.
In the younger age group both Cerys Thompson (8) and Ashyanna Cooper (9) won all three of their games. Cerys came out in first place with a net +18 to Ashyanna’s +15. Wesley Bowen (10) won two of his three to take third place.
The senior age group Stephen Tyler was the only player to be unbeaten. He finished with a creditable net +19. Keely Guegan won 2 games to take second and all the other players won one game each. Dominic Perez competed in the higher age group and gave a good account of himself.
