Inter Club league 30 July 2007
St Mary’s Petanque Club secured their first win in the JPA Inter Club league on Monday 30 July playing their home leg against Carrefour Petanque Club.
The St Mary players won both triples and two of the three doubles; Ken and Jeanne le Brun losing theirs by just one point, the home team needed just two wins from the singles games to secure a victory. Ron Carter was the fist winner for St Mary beating Eunice Jehan 13-6 and James Cartmell’s win of 13-9 against Les Quenault clinched the match. Dan Gayet, Ken Luce and Graham Walker won their singles to bring the final score to St Mary 7 and Carrefour 4.
