Vagabonds are champions of Division Two
The final games in the JPA winter league division two were due to be played last Sunday 1 April. Second placed Grouville took a 6-0 win in their match against Wednesday Mob and this took them back to the equal first position with Vagabonds, whose game was delayed until last evening.
Needing at least one point from this match against Grantez to win the division two trophy, Vagabonds also made it a clean sweep of 6-0, despite there being several close games, and finished 2 points clear at the top. Third place is still to be decided as Les Hirondelles, currently holding third place and St Mary who are in fourth, also delayed their match and are to play on Saturday 7th. St Mary would need to win by 5 games to one to take third place – a tough challenge.
There is also one held over game to be completed between Paraders and Fleur de Lys.
